With its iconic rear-wheel drive proportions, elegantly sculptured bodyside, world-class craftsmanship and refinement, the all-new 2011 Chrysler 300 series proudly delivers the distinction, innovation and premium large sedan features at a legendary value, while setting a new course for the American brand.

With more than 55 years of elegant proportions and head-turning style, the all-new 2011 Chrysler 300 delivers contemporary styling with design details unexpected in the segment. At the front, an all-new grille features seven deeply sculpted horizontal blades that express precision. The liquid-chrome finish of the blades and the new Chrysler wing badge provide a unique contrast against the beautifully drawn bright chrome grille surround. Illuminating the road ahead are signature "key slot" headlamps with a scalloped lower edge. Inside, bi-functional projector headlamps are nestled next to LED-illuminated daytime running lamps, which together form a "C" shape for unmistakable on-road presence.

The profile of the all-new Chrysler 300 features the distinctive proportions of its predecessor with added design refinement for a more tailored appearance. Dramatic front-fender forms rise above the sculpted hood and are echoed by rear-quarter forms which rise above the deck lid and travel down the vertical taillamps for an unmistakably bold signature silhouette. For improved aerodynamics and visibility, the all-new Chrysler luxury flagship's windshield has been raked back 3 inches, while rolled-framed doors with thinner pillars improve outward visibility by 15 percent. To take in the sky above, a new dual-pane panoramic sunroof provides Chrysler 300 passengers with twice the outward visibility of a standard sunroof. For a more contemporary appearance, the 2011 Chrysler 300 features a clean bodyside with a distinct windswept A-line that emphasizes the sedan's long wheelbase and spacious cabin. Delivering a touch of world-class sophistication, the all-new Chrysler 300 is highlighted by chrome daylight openings, chrome front- and rear-fascia accents and available 20-inch polished-aluminum wheels.

2011 BMW X3 xDrive35i pics

The new BMW X3 is the successor to a bestseller, setting the same high standards as the first generation of the BMW X3 launched in 2004. Its success had already been previously substantiated with the concept utilised for the BMW X5. This concept encompassed the development of all-terrain models with a clear orientation towards driving dynamics, thereby establishing the Sports Activity Vehicle category. Its exceptionally agile handling and the superior characteristics of the intelligent four-wheel drive concept xDrive have also rendered the BMW X3 a pioneer in its class and a global bestseller, the production of which ended after the sale of 614,824 units.

The lasting popularity is also reflected in the outstanding public survey results: Twice in succession, the BMW X3 was voted both "All-terrain Car of the Year" and "Off Road Vehicle of the Year" in 2006 and 2007 respectively by readers of the magazines "Auto Bild Allrad" and "Off Road". Moreover, independent experts have bestowed several awards on the vehicle for outstanding safety, customer satisfaction, reliability and stable value, including top rankings in the breakdown statistics published by the Allgemeine Deutsche Automobilclub (ADAC).

The new BMW X3: More comfortable than ever, benchmark in agility, driving dynamics, efficiency and variability within the competitive environment.

Compared with the predecessor model, the new BMW X3 is characterised by a noticeable increase in motoring comfort and interior space. Exterior length has increased by 83 mm to 4,648 mm, with width increasing by 28 mm to 1,881 mm and height by 12 mm to 1,661 mm. With these dimensions, it is positioned precisely between the BMW X5 and the compact BMW X1.

2010 Lancia Stratos Concept
The final rehearsal.

This test drive had been in planning for quite awhile: on November 18th the president of Ferrari, Luca di Montezemolo, and his chief test driver, Dario Benuzzi, took the New Stratos out on the Maranello-Fiorano circuit for the first time.

After a few swift laps, it was apparent that Luca di Montezemolo was extremely impressed by the vehicle's precision handling. Several enthusiastic exclamations of "bellissima!" and "congratulazioni!" were heard as he exited the car.

The sincerity of these compliments was further underscored when di Montezemolo made a phone call to his technical director, Roberto Fedeli, and requested his presence at the track so that he, too, could have a closer look at the New Stratos. Fedeli made a thorough inspection of the vehicle together with another technical adviser. When he'd finished, he was also full of praise - not just the perfect engineering, but the numerous details and painstaking workmanship had won over Ferrari's technical director.

In the meantime, Dario Benuzzi got behind the wheel and sped down the racing line, maneuvering the curbs and chicanes of the Ferrari circuit. He, too, was impressed by the New Stratos' razor sharp handling and extremely rigid body, and thanks to his 40 years' experience in sport and race car calibration, the Ferrari legend was also able to give some advice on how to eliminate a slight agitation of the rear axle that occurred when taking a curve at high speed. As a result, the rear wheels will get a bit more toe-in before the presentation at the Paul Ricard Circuit.

Now, in the afterglow of this extremely positive feedback from Ferrari's top ranks, the highly motivated New Stratos team begins their preparations for the presentation in Le Castellet.
